Pastor Jim Powell was saved May 25, 2003. He was baptized into the Christian life at NHCF. He started as the youth leader in 2004 and was on our worship team/lead for 20 years, while attending National Bible College, Ft Lauderdale, FL in Theology, and on to City Vision University, Kansas City, MO, completing his Certificate in Christian Ministry and Leadership in Hermeneutics’ and Bible Survey and ordained into the pastoral ministry June 27, 2021. He shares the preaching/teaching ministry with Pastor Emeritus Tom Brown, and the elder staff at New Hope. Jim also works with the local housing for the homeless and serves in the community in various ways such as chaplain of the local chapter of the Christian Motorcyclist Association (CMA). Jim received the mantle at New Hope as Senior Pastor, August 6, 2023, he and his wife, Tami, continue to serve as Senior Pastor and teacher to our congregation.
